The kingfisher's secret

I painted this when living by a lake, I would hear the Kingfisher's call every morning and run out to see if I could get a glipse of the beautiful bird. Catching a flash of turquoise and gold darting above the water's surface , occasionally perching on a branch , watching for any fish below. No matter how dull or miserable the day was the bird would always bring me some excitment and joy reminding me of the beauty in the world. As a late dear friend said in regards to nature...
" I give to you my creations with colour and sound...We should make time to listen."
